Our long-time director, Scott Kvigne, will be stepping down at the end of 2024 after years of exceptional direction. As a result, we are immediately seeking talented and passionate chorus director applicants for our renowned chorus, City of Lakes. City of Lakes is proud to be SAI’s 2018 8th place International medalists and is based in the vibrant city of Minneapolis, MN, USA. This paid position requires an experienced director with a deep appreciation for excellence and a love for the unique harmony of barbershop music.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead a dynamic and talented group of singers, guiding them to new heights of artistic achievement and excellence in all facets of chorus life. We are looking for a director who can inspire, motivate, and challenge our members to reach their full potential, both individually and as a cohesive ensemble.
The application process is open immediately, and we encourage interested candidates to apply promptly to allow sufficient time for the interview and audition process. Candidates with extensive experience directing and performing barbershop music may be given special consideration. If selected, chorus duties are projected to begin in mid to late 2024, providing a smooth transition period with our current director.
